Circus Center kicks off 2 weeks of shows

The San Francisco Circus Center, a training ground for professional acrobats, aerialists, contortionists, clowns and jugglers, has kicked off a two-week run of shows.

The Circus Center's shows, which began Friday and run through June 21, will include new works created by students in the Professional Aerial Program and the Clown Conservatory.

The San Francisco Circus Center, located at 755 Frederick St., offers professional and pre-professional circus arts training year-round. Its master teachers have performed with the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe, Moscow Circus, Cirque du Soleil, Big Apple Circus, among others.
