On September 11th, 11-year-old Dean Martin wore a blue Vallejo fire department shirt to school to honor the firefighters who were killed.

But, the colors blue and red are off limits at Adele Harrison Middle School because of their gang affiliation.

Administrators sent Martin home to change his shirt, and his mom didn't send him back that day. His mom says 9/11 is a national day of mourning and the school's reaction makes her sick.
