Community rallies behind Halloween attack victims

ALUM ROCK, CA

A 12-year-old boy was shot in the head. His 13-year-old friend was stabbed in the hand. Police say the two were mistaken for gang members.

People at the Mi Pueblo food center say "enough is enough."

"We've got lots of supporters here and our community as well, that has come out to support to say no to gang violence and we're not going to tolerate it, and we're here to help the families of those two young men," said Dolores Marquez with the Alum Rock school district.

The 12-year-old who was shot emerged from a coma this week. Four teenagers were arrested in the case and charged as adults for attempted murder.
