Nissan launches voluntary recall

Nissan is recalling 540,000 vehicles for possible problems with brakes or fuel gauges.

The brake problem may affect the Titan, Armada, Quest and Infiniti QX56, all built from 2008 to 2010.

Nissan says the brake pedals may loosen and make it hard to stop.

The fuel gauge problem may affect older models of the Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56, all built from 2005 to 2008. It also was found in some older Pathfinders, Frontiers and Xterras.

Nissan says the gas gauge may show you have gas in the tank when really you don't.

Officials say no one has been hurt because of the problems.
