Two victims stabbed in gang-related incident

SANTA ROSA, CA

At 12:47 a.m., officers responded to a large party at 2545 Cactus Drive that had gotten out of control. A fight was occurring in front of the home, police said.

Upon arrival, police were told a dog had attacked someone at the party and the person was taken to the hospital. Animal Control officers were sent to the home to secure the dog.

Soon after, officers learned of a stabbing victim near Montgomery Avenue and Brookwood Avenue, police said.

A 29-year-old Geyserville man was found in a creek with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital.

At the hospital, police discovered the first victim, a 33-year-old Santa Rosa man, had also been stabbed - not attacked by a dog.

Both victims were intoxicated and uncooperative with investigators, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Sinigiani of the Santa Rosa gang investigations team at (707) 543-3670.
