One stabbed, one injured in fight at Candlestick

SAN FRANCISCO

Officers responded to a 1:40 p.m. report of an altercation at the Candlestick Park at 490 Jamestown Ave., police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

Arriving crews found one man stabbed in the lower part of his body, and another man with a swollen eye and lacerations to his face. Both victims are in their 30s, Esparza said.

The two victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

One of the men suspected of injuring the victims is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a skinny build and wearing a jersey with a San Francisco 49ers logo on it.

Description of the second suspect is currently unknown, Esparza said.

The suspects were with two females at the time of the altercation, who are being questioned by police for any details on the case.

Investigators do not know if the fight was gang-related or if the suspects and victims knew each other.
