Stanford QB has no luck at College Football Awards

A surprise occurred Thursday night at the College Football Awards show. Sanford Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck did not win the Davey O'Brien Award, which goes to the top quarterback in the country.

Cam Newton won the award. Newton has led Auburn to the national title game and is a lock for the Heisman Trophy.

He beats out Luck for top quarterback honors.

Newton dealt with controversy over his father violating NCAA rules by trying to get paid for his son to sign out of junior college, but Cam says he had no knowledge of that.

"I'm a person that did nothing wrong and whoever wants to ask me that question, I'm going to tell them that I stand firm and told the truth. Everything that I've done at this university or where ever, I did it the right way," says Newton.
