Researchers at Harvard say formula fed infants who are introduced to solid food before the age of 4 months, run a higher risk of obesity by age 3. But, doctors did not see the same effect in infants who were breast fed.The study's author says the results support the American Academy of Pediatrics' guidelines of starting solid food between 4 and 6 months of age. The study is published in today's online edition of the journal "Pediatrics."
