El Dorado principal sells her shoes to avoid school cuts

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif.

Her school district faces a $1.4 million deficit that would force it lay off teachers and staff, and close all of its libraries.

"There is not a material item on the planet that can supplant a child's education. I mean it's the greatest gift you can give a child. I'm very, very passionate about education and children," said Miller.

So far Miller has raised about $4,000 for her district. People nationwide have bought her shoes.
