Vallejo grass fire under control

Firefighters extinguished a fast-moving three-alarm grass fire in north Vallejo, according to a fire official.

The blaze was reported off Tobin Drive near state Highways 37 and 29 at around 1:45 p.m.

The fire was under control by around 5:30 p.m. and crews remain at the scene tonight to watch for hot spots and sparks, according to a fire official.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.

Vallejo firefighters are responding to a one-alarm structure fire tonight as well, according to the fire official.

Responders found smoke at the home, located near Washington and Alameda streets, and are investigating the cause.

No injuries have been reported.
