Special-needs student goes missing from Canada College

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a 20-year-old Roz Sarmiento, a special-needs student, who went missing from Canada College.

Authorities in San Mateo County are asking for the public's help in finding a 20-year-old special-needs student who went missing from Canada College late this morning.

Roz Sarmiento was last seen at the college, located at 4200 Farm Hill Blvd. in Redwood City, at 11:30 a.m. wearing a black-and-white zippered sweatshirt and gray basketball shorts.

He is Asian, 4 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's officials said Sarmiento has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old. He is believed to be on foot, and anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.
