Two San Jose students received a big honor Wednesday. For the first time ever, the top national winners of the Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement are from the same school.

Ramya Rangan and Albert Wu are both seniors at The Harker School in San Jose. They were honored for having the highest scores in the nation on their AP science and math tests.

"The school has really given me so many opportunities to expand my intellectual horizons," said Albert Wu, a Harker School senior.

"There's a reason why so many winners have come from Harker and that's because the school has provided all the students with such a great opportunity to be able to pursue what they want to pursue at the highest level possible," said Ramya Rangan, a Harker School senior.

Both students will receive a $5,000 scholarship.
