7-Eleven store robbed at gunpoint in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif.

The robbery was reported at about 1:15 a.m. at the store located at 308 Abbott St.

The two suspects entered the store and demanded money from the register. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the store clerk while the other suspect held a bag and took cash from the register, according to police.

The suspects fled after taking the cash and had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The armed suspect is described as a Hispanic man who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and was wearing a dark mask over his face.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a Detroit Tigers hat, according to police.

No one was injured in the robbery.
