7-year-old from Gilroy gets 21st in Yahoo brackets

GILROY, Calif.

Kaiden Gonzales placed 21st in Yahoo's March Madness bracket challenge out millions of entrants. His parents are very proud. Unfortunately, Kaiden narrowly missed out on the $100,000 prize handed out to the contest's top 20 brackets. He accurately selected UConn as the national champion. The Huskies defeated Kentucky on Monday.

Kaiden explained his picking philosophy, saying he chose University of Florida, for example, because he "liked Gators," and Kentucky because it has two Ks and his name starts with a K.
