SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A U.S. army paratrooper, who graduated from Sonoma State University, is the inspiration for the newest Marvel Comics superhero - Flash Thompson.
Retired Army Staff Sergeant Dan Nevins was serving in Iraq, when he lost both legs in an IED blast.
Thompson is a double amputee, who adjusts to life on a new set of prosthetic legs.
But the injury has not kept him from excelling in life. He's now a sales representative for Pfizer.
