There are disturbing new details from the CDC concerning the mistaken shipping of live anthrax virus to labs in the U.S. including Stanford and five foreign countries.

The agency says 21 of the 22 samples returned to them for testing contained live anthrax. In all, 69 labs worldwide received the samples -- all from a facility in Utah. They were expecting inactive anthrax spores. The CDC says several dozen people are being treated with antibiotics as a precaution, but no one has been infected.
