They questioned him for about two hours today, in connection with the Natalee Holloway disappearance. Prosecutors say he again denied any role in the teen's disappearance more than two and a-half years ago on the Dutch Caribbean island.
According to the prosecutor's office, Van der Sloot claimed that he had been under the influence of marijuana when he said in a secretly taped video that he had been with Holloway when she died. In the video, he said that he'd had a friend dump her body at sea.
Prosecutors are seeking a court order to detain him based on the hidden-camera interview.
