Suspects arrested after hot pursuit
The sheriff's office received a call at about 11:10 p.m. reporting
shots being fired in the 200 block of Bailey Road in the unincorporated Bay
Point area.
About 10 minutes later, the sheriff's office received a second
call, this time reporting shots being fired at a nearby gas station, Lee
said.
The caller gave dispatchers a description of the vehicle and said
it was headed westbound on state Highway 4, Lee said.
Deputies caught up to the vehicle on the highway and attempted to
stop it, but the vehicle kept going.
Deputies chased the vehicle all the way to San Pablo, where they
finally stopped it at San Pablo Dam Road.
One of the suspects allegedly resisted arrest and deputies shot
him with a Taser to subdue him, Lee said.
Jason Dye and Armando Calderon, both 21, and a 16-year-old boy
were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and felony evasion of a police
officer, Lee said.
No injuries were reported, Lee said, and no vehicles were damaged.
It was not clear from initial reports what the group was shooting
at or whether they hit anything, Lee said.
