San Jose Home Show Offers Help for "That Little Project"

Saturday, April 26 (11 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
Sunday, April 27 (11 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

About Jonathan Fong

In the do-it-yourself world, Jonathan Fong's brand of DIY stands for "dramatic, inexpensive and yes-you-can." An interior designer with a flair for the unexpected, he burst onto the design scene with his television debut on HGTV's "Kitty Bartholomew: You're Home." Viewers loved his witty work, and he became an instant design celebrity. Additional stints on that show led to frequent appearances on HGTV's "Smart Solutions," USA Network's makeover series "Before and After'noon" and a pilot for HGTV called "Crafty People." He has also been featured on the DIY Network's "Craft Lab," "Scrap," and "60 Ideas in 60 Minutes," as well as Fox News and Good Day LA.

Prior to be being a designer, Jonathan was a creative director at an advertising agency, writing commercials for clients such as Jenny Craig, Jergens Lotion, Acura, and Boston Market. Besides designing home and workspace interiors in Los Angeles and New York, Jonathan has also created floral designs for gala charity events. In the meantime, his website jonathanfongstyle.com has generated a sizable worldwide following, with visitors from as far away as India, Brazil, Zimbabwe and New Zealand.

Jonathan is the author of Walls that Wow, Flowers that Wow, and the new Parties that Wow, all published by Watson-Guptill New York. He has been interviewed and featured in Life, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens' Do It Yourself, Window & Wall Ideas, Kids' Rooms, House Beautiful Home Remodeling, Woman's Day Budget Decorating Ideas, Angeleno, Garden Ideas, Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, and over 100 newspapers across the U.S. and Canada.

Jonathan holds a B.A. in English and Psychology from UCLA and an MBA from Boston University.
