Health advisory issued through Thursday

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued a health advisory to residents in several Bay Area counties due to unhealthy air from wildfires burning in Northern California.

The health advisory is in effect for Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Solano and Sonoma Counties.

Air District officials have recorded elevated levels of particulate matter in the air throughout the Bay Area and has advised the public to limit their exposure to the smoky air.

Southern Solano County had the highest particulate matter readings Wednesday and the levels are forcast to remain high through Thursday.
