Air quality in most of the Bay Area is forecast to be in the "good to moderate" range through the Fourth of July weekend, district officials said.
"Although the wildfires continue in areas of Northern California and the Central Coast, onshore winds will push much of the smoke away from the Bay Area for the time being," air district managing meteorologist Dick Duker said.
The district will continue to monitor smoke in the region in case air quality reverts to unhealthy levels.
