Quiana Brown called 911 to report she had just stabbed her husband at about 11:50 p.m., Sgt. Diane Aguinaga said.
Officers responded to 1740 Linden Place and found a 34-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to Sutter Delta Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Brown and her husband had an argument that turned physical just before the stabbing, Aguinaga said. Family members had separated the two when Brown got a knife and ran toward her husband, stabbing him in the chest.
Brown was booked at the Police Department and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility, where she was booked on one count of murder. The name of Brown's husband has not been released.
