The chemical known as BPA has been found in 93 percent of Americans aged six and older. It's suspected of putting people at greater risk for breast and prostate cancer as well as reproductive abnormalities.
Safeway has agreed to stop selling the bottles, and Gerber says its baby bottles, pacifiers and cups will be BPA free by year's end.
