Eric Borgerson, a 42-year-old Oakland man, pleaded guilty in June
to sending four video files of child pornography through Yahoo! Instant
Messenger from a university-issued computer to another Internet user,
according to the Department of Justice.
Borgerson was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2007 for
one count of distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession
of child pornography.
As a result of his conviction, Borgerson must also pay a $50,000
fine, register as a sex offender and serve a 10-year term of supervised
release, the Department of Justice said.
