BART officials said the number of parking spots available at its stations will nearly double, bringing the total number of spaces at airport and long-term parking lots to 1,360.
Long-term parking is available at all East Bay stations except West Oakland, Coliseum/Oakland Airport and Union City for $5 per day. Parking is $6 per day at the Colma, San Bruno and Millbrae stations.
"While our first priority is to our daily patrons, we know that many of our regular riders aren't used to using BART during the holiday season; therefore we are able to provide hundreds of additional spaces for airport travelers," BART board president Gail Murray said in a statement.
Parking permits for long-term spots can be purchased online.
Those parking without permits will be subject to the 24-hour weekday time limit.
The extra capacity will be available Nov. 26 through Dec. 1.
