The sheriff's office received a call at about 8 p.m. reporting that there was a man who looked like he had been shot lying in front of a house in the 300 block of Silver Avenue, Lee said.
Deputies found the man, 31-year-old Hassam Allen, unconscious and unresponsive. He appeared to have been shot multiple times.
Investigators so far have no suspects and no leads in the case and have yet to determine what Allen was doing in North Richmond.
