Small quake rattles Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA

The earthquake struck at about 5:05 a.m. The quake was 2.7 miles deep, and its epicenter was centered 4 miles southwest of Mountain View and 6 miles west of Sunnyvale, according to the USGS.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 also struck in the same area at about 9:40 p.m. Saturday night, according to the USGS.
