Firefighters climb for Lung Association

A record 1200 climbers took part in Saturday's 3rd Annual Climb California to benefit the American Lung Association.

They raced up 52 flights to the top of 555 California Street," almost 1200 steps.

Members of the San Francisco Fire Department took part in the event, in honor of firefighter Chris Posey, whose lungs were severely burned in a fire.

Posey woke up from a coma after 17 days and is still recovering from his injuries.

Saturday's event was organized to raise awareness about lung disease and the importance of clean air.
