Survey: Californians willing to conserve water
SAN JOSE, CA 79 percent said they would be likely to comply with a 15 percent reduction in water use this summer.
64 percent said they would be motivated by environmental concerns.
60 percent said they would do it to save money.
45 percent said they would do it at the request of their local government.
58 percent have been saving water or energy since the stock market crash last fall. 45 percent report "driving fewer miles" in their cars. 37 percent say they are buying green products more often, since the downturn.
