Be Productions, formerly My Artists Place, closed down after about two years in the Bay Area. Hundreds of families paid about $1,000-$3,000 each for memberships giving children access to classes in singing, dancing, acting and modeling.

Be Productions co-owner Barry Falck says the company moved its headquarters to Southern California but Bay Area members still have access to all services including classes, auditions and job postings.
