Police were dispatched to a fire at the intersection of West Meadow Drive and Park Boulevard around 9:30 p.m., said Agent Max Nielepko, a police spokesman.
"They helped put it out and noticed it was an American flag on a pole with a little eagle on the top," he said.
Nobody was in the area at the time. While police are investigating a string of small fires set in the Barron Park area in recent months, Nielepko said the home is some distance away from that area.
