The company that offers daily tram tours of Yosemite Valley is introducing new diesel hybrid-powered trams.
They'll replace the current fleet that runs on propane. The hybrid costs about twice as much as a clean diesel option, but they use less fuel and they lower emissions.
"These reduce emissions compared to clean diesel by about 70 percent. The fuel economy is greatly improved compared to that, and compared to the previous vehicles we used, it's an 800 percent improvement in fuel economy," says Dan Jensen from DNC Parks and Resorts C.O.O.
