Kohl's is adding stores in Millbrae, Redwood City, Mountain View, Hayward, San Rafael and Napa.
The department store chain was previously owned by Mervyns before the company went bankrupt last year.
Kohl's says it will hold job fairs starting from Sunday through Thursday.
