The blaze was reported at 4:48 a.m. at 6317 Mission St., fire officials said.
Firefighters controlled the flames within 10 minutes and spent about three hours completing overhaul, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.
The fire is believed to have started in an alley behind the building and spread to exterior wood on the second floor of the structure, fire officials said.
The cause remains under investigation.
