Acupuncture can be helpful for dogs

Many people turn to acupuncture to help soothe their aches and pains, but now some believe it can help their ailing dogs as well.

The owner of a German Shepherd named Margo turned to acupuncture as a way to relieve the pain of cancer in the dog's leg.

Veterinarians insert between 20 and 30 needles and they also insist the needles are painless.

The treatments take about 15 minutes and owners report the dogs seem more energetic afterward.
