She was invited by the Domestic Violence Prevention and Services Group, called STAND! in Concord. Robin told ABC7's Cheryl Jennings her experience was similar to other victims.
"Being dragged by your hair down the hallway, pulled out of bed by your underwear, feeling guilt and shame after the incident is over, the man, crying in your lap, begging for forgiveness," she said.
STAND! says domestic violence calls have nearly doubled in the last year and they've had 10 fatalities.
Robin urges women to make that call for help.
