Firefighters in Sausalito quickly extinguished a fire that burned an abandoned house Friday morning, a fire chief said.

Units responded to fire reported in a home at 1751 Bridgeway at around 5 a.m., Southern Marin Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jim Irving said.

The two-alarm blaze burned for about 20 minutes before firefighters declared it under control, Irving said.

No one was injured.

A preliminary report indicates the fire caused approximately $200,000 in damage. The home appears to have been abandoned, Irving said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
