Generous viewers get school band closer to Hawaii

Students in the marching band at Jesse Bethel High School in Vallejo are getting closer to an invitational in Hawaii.

We first told you this story on Friday.

The band needs $20,000 to make it to the competition in April.

With the help of generous ABC7 viewers, the band is almost half way there. One person wrote a check for $1,000, but the band still needs more than $10,000.
