Parolee barricades himself inside Oakland home

OAKLAND, CA

An Oakland police spokeswoman says the department's SWAT team was called out after the suspect, who was being investigated for being a felon in possession of firearms, refused to come out of the home.

Police have not released additional information on the suspect.

The incident on the 700 block of 32nd St. comes after a separate incident when officers responded to a call of a shooting around 4:19 p.m. at Seminary and International Boulevard.

Police had few details, but say an adult male was shot and killed.
