Preparing a million meals for Haitian earthquake survivors may seem like a bold challenge under any circumstances, but that is what the Bay Area Salvation Army and a small army of volunteers are going to be doing in one day Saturday at the Cow Palace.

2,500 good Samaritans will assemble one million meals in just 15 hours.

They are still looking for volunteers for the 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift. For more information log on to the San Francisco Salvation Army website.
