In San Jose, several city council members, community members and the police chief are condemning Arizona's tough new immigration law.

They say the law encourages racial profiling. It requires police to question people If they even suspect they're in the country illegally.

The council is talking about a memorandum urging the city of San Jose to refrain from entering any new contracts with companies based in Arizona.

Earlier this week, Oakland passed a resolution boycotting Arizona and the state's businesses.
