The board voted unanimously Tuesday night to cut more than $4 million from special education over three years and lay off 200 teachers because reductions in the state budget.
The board also reviewed plans for restructuring four of the district's lowest-achieving campuses. They include Bel Air, Rio Vista and Shore Acres elementary schools in Bay Point and Glenbrook middle school in Concord.
School officials will vote on those plans on May 25th.
