Members of the Oakland Police Department put on their running shoes Wednesday morning for a good cause. It was for the 2010 Special Olympics law enforcement torch run.

The 3.5-mile run started at 8:30 a.m. and is designed to promote the upcoming Special Olympics this weekend at UC Davis.

It ended in Emeryville where the police department there took the torch.
