A towering column of smoke could be seen for miles.
The fire started around 7 p.m. and burned four acres, near Highway 87 and Curtner Avenue.
Witness Clay Alvord said ash was falling from the sky.
No homes were threatened and crews had the fire out by 8:45 p.m.
