A pilot program to have some city parking meters running on Sundays has now been set aside indefinitely.
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency was going to implement the controversial program next month.
The goal was to raise more than $2 million in revenue. But, the plan faced stiff opposition from merchant groups, who say it would not help anyone except the city.
