Parolee arrested after domestic disturbance

FAIRFIELD, CA

A woman called police at 1 p.m. about a domestic disturbance involving her 33-year-old boyfriend, Jeremy Ghent, at a residence in the 1300 block of Woolner Avenue, Officer Cleo Mayoral said.

The couple have a relationship and have children together, but they do not live together, Mayoral said.

Police established a perimeter around the house when they learned Ghent was wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a parole violation, Mayoral said.

Ghent's girlfriend came out of the house, but Ghent remained inside and was uncooperative. He was under the influence and stated he would not go back to prison, Mayoral said.

After Ghent refused to leave the house, Officer Randy Augusto and his K-9 partner, Greck, entered the house and found Ghent hiding under a bed, Mayoral said.

Ghent refused to surrender and was removed from under the bed and arrested, Mayoral said.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment of puncture wounds he received during his arrest and was later booked into the Solano County jail for a parole violation and resisting arrest, Mayoral said.
