The South San Francisco Police Department K-9 Unit will host the second annual K-9 Trial Competition along with Western States Police Canine Association at South San Francisco High School located at 400 B St.
The hosts are expecting more than 40 police K-9 teams from Northern and Southern California to compete in various events that will be open to the public beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, including a hidden suspect search, an agility phase, an obedience phase and suspect apprehension. Admission will be free.
Today's event, a narcotics search phase, will be closed to the public.
