SJ non-profit accused of misusing funds

The San Jose City Council will learn more details about a troubled non-profit organization accused of not using city funds properly.

Our media partner, the "San Jose Mercury News," reports the Mexican American community services Agency was given a $500,000 city grant to start a preschool, but never opened it.

It is already under criminal investigation accused of skimming employee pension funds. The deputy city manager said the city no longer supports any of the agency's programs.
