San Rafael officials offer reward in murder case

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.

Ashley Yamauchi's body was found in the early morning hours of Dec.16, 2008. Her body was found in a parking lot behind a San Rafael bar. An autopsy revealed that she had been sexually assaulted and died of asphyxiation.

Officials Wednesday announced a $50,000 reward for information about the case and her family and friends talked to reporters at the spot where she was killed.

Police have sent out dozens of DNA samples but the effort has not yet produced an identifiable suspect.
