Following up on complaints of illegal activities near schools, the ex-criminals were picked up in the area around 73rd Avenue and International Boulevard in East Oakland.
There were 10 arrests and dozens of parole and probation searches.
Over the last six months, police say there have been 24 shootings, 69 robberies and 213 burglaries in the East Oakland neighborhood.
